WILLIAM McKINNEY and wife PHEBE (?) in BURNSVILLE - Yancy Co., IN 1825

I am looking for a WILLIAM McKINNEY who married a PHEBE
(LEDFORD??). I have no proof that Phebe McKinney's maiden name was Ledford, but one of their children had Ledford as a middle name, so it is just a guess.

William and Phebe McKinney probably were married around 1817 or so as their first child was born around 1818. However, it is their only son Samuel - who is said to have been born around 1825, in Burnsville, Yancy Co., NC.
Children's names were: Mary R. (Polly), Jemima (?), Sarah C., Samuel, Rachel M. and Margaret.

It seems William McKinney has died by at least 1830 because Phebe McKinney re-married on 18-Sept-1831 in Burke Co., NC -to my 3rd great grandfather, Aaron Green, who was also a widower with a family of his own.
It is hard to know if the McKinney's and the Green's lived close to each other back in 1825 when the McKinney's lived in or near Burnsville but when Phebe McKinney and Aaron Green were married they were in the part of Burke that turned into Yancy Co., NC.
By 1834 Aaron and Phebe Green had moved to Jennings Co., Indiana where they lived until their death's. Around 1837 Aaron was made legal guardian over Phebe's children by first husband William McKinney - according to Jennings Co., IN court record.

I would love to find the parents of WILLIAM McKINNEY and his wife Phebe. Can anyone help me with this???
Thanks, Judy Mills Boie from Minnesota
