On the 1880 Yancey census, Sarah Bradford, wife of Cornelias states that she was born in Tenn., that her father was born in Tenn. and that her mother was born in NC.
There are no Woodby's on the 1870 Yancey census.
The 1880 shows James Woodby, age 59, born in Tenn and his wife Susan, 43 born in NC.
This matches the entry for Sarah Bradford. This expanded census states that James Lloyd Woodby married Susannah Honeycutt. There is no date and no reference to a marriage record.
However this family is referenced in "Heritage of the Toe River Valley" and it states that they had a daughter named Sarah.
