There is a marriage record for George Riddle & Lula Boone in Yancey County. The year was 1904. I found it in the microfilm index but don't remember the exact date.
I suggest that you send for this record as it will give you the name of the parents of both parties.

I would be very interested in what you find. I have a large data-base of info on the Yancey Boone family. I did not have Lula in my database but after doing some looking, I think it is possible that Lula was the daughter of Taylor & Margaret Buckner Boone. There is a daughter of the right age listed with Margaret in 1900. Transcriber read the name as Sue but indicated that she was unsure of the spelling. I think this probably should have been "Lue" and not "Sue". She had brothers: James, Carlie, Fred & Rassie. In 1900, mother Margaret is married to Will Boomer. Are any of these names familiar?
