Do you have a list of children for Joseph Callahan of 1850 Yancey Co. other than what are listed on that census? I am trying to find the parents of Ezekiel and E.M. [Edmund Mack] Callahan, brothers, born NC who moved to Owsley Co., KY (the part which became Jackson Co. in 1858) before 1850. They lived near my gr. grandfather Philip Marion Bradley (aka Allen) in Jackson Co., KY. Philip Marion Bradley was from Yancey Co. and Joel Callahan of Yancey Co. gave a deposition for Civil War pension for Philip Marion's 1/2 brother, Joseph G. Allen. This indicates the families maybe knew each other prior to moving to KY, but there is no proof. I'm researching the KY Callahans, and also those who were in Rockingham Co., NC. Any help appreciated. Maybe we can be of help to each other. Thanks.
