I have been working on the Yancey County death records and have some partial ones that may help you with the Forney connection.
They lived in Brush Creek and I have not as yet got them transcribed.
These are the ones from 1914-1924
According to these your Wilamena was the wife of Arthur Forney. According to the 1900 census, Arthur was the son of Jacob Forney & Clara Carson Forney.

FORNEY, Augustus (black)
Death: July 29, 1915, #7
Father: Jacob Forney
Mother: Clara Carson
Burial: book 1-12/1008

FORNEY, Stillbirth male
Death: Oct, 1915, #7
Father: Arther Forney
Mother: Willianetta Carson
Burial: book 1-12/1009

FORNEY, Savannah (black)
Death: February 3, 1917

FORNEY, Clara (black)

Hope this is of some help.
If I find anything else I will post it.
