I have some questions on Elijah Hunter and
Jane Harwell. I have information that this Elijah Hunter b. 1810 married Jane Harwell
22Oct1829 in Rutherford Co. and lived in Yancy Co. in 1850 with at least 8 children and the information I have seen here indicates a correlation "maybe". The sources for the information that I have seen are dead and I am not sure to find there children. The information was about my Ggrandfather's siblings. I am not sure how accurate is the information that this is the Elijah I am looking for. My Ggrandfather was Harry Avery Hunter B. 28Oct1813 and moved to Pope Co.,Ark. after the Civil War. He had a brother Elijah Hunter, Harry Avery, Eliza Mary,Martha(records say she was also born 1810, I haven't checked my other records on this),Anne P. His father was Ephraim Hunter(b 1777) and mother was Sarah E. Crocker(b. 1779).
You all mention Elijah's father's name was William. It could be Ephraim's first name and he used his middle name. There are several Hunters around there with Elijah, Elisha, and
Ephraim with family descent. Ephraim had a brother named Elijah and another named Elisha. There are several relatives with Avery in the name. Also I have had a Cousin with a middle name of Milton.
