I am looking for information on William Barns (b.around 1824)who was listed in the 1850 Iredell Co. census with wife Elender and daughter Margaret. He was next found in the 1860 Cherokee Co census listed as William Baron with wife Elender, children Margaret, Jasper, male?, William B.Next he was in 1870 in Madison County listed as William Barns with wife Nellie and his children and then in 1880 in Madison Co with wife Elender, children William B, James, Mary, Cornelia and Vandoria. The child William B. was listed as born in Yadkin County around 1858. I am trying to find out if his father was Johnathan Baron, Barron and mother Susannah Phyffer (Phifer). If anyone has any information on this family I would appreciate any help.
