Seeking marriage record for Alfred Clayton Baker and Bettie Blanche Finch, 1908-09, Nash County or Wilson County, North Carolina.

Seeking wills, obituaries and death records for Joe S. (Josiah) Baker, born May 1865, and Madorra (Dora, Duck) Crumpler Baker, born Aug 1867; both died in or after 1930, in Nash County.

Letter from cousin in Nash County, 24 Feb 1982: “The Calvin Baker homplace still stands and Sam Baker’s widow is still living there. In a field nearby is the Calvin H. Baker Cemetery. Your great granddaddy is not buried there but is buried about 2 miles down the road where his farm was located. He and his wife and a woman named Daisy are the only three. The graveyard is now near I-95. On your great granddad’s grave is Joe S. Baker. They called him Joe for short. His wife was Madorra Crumpler.”

Death certificate for Alfred Clayton Baker lists parents as Joe Baker and Duck Crumpler. Joe S. Baker and wife Dorra are listed in the 1930 Nash County census.
