Wilkes Co. NC court records involving bastardy issues

I know Wilkes Co. kept bastardy records for a period. However, what other court records would involve such issues 1880-1890? A widow woman had two illegitimate children and was brought before the court. A man posted her bond and she went to work for him. The father of the children was sent to jail. By 1890, the woman had left Wilkes Co. and moved to Grayson Co. VA. This is an embarrasing research issue but the answers are somewhere in court records.
