Request a Male Descendant of Harmon Tedder take the DNA Test

We have made tremendous strides with FamilytreeDNA testing. We need a descendant of Harmon Tedder to take the 37 marker DNA test. With this information we can narrow down just who was Harmon's father and help trace our ancestry back to Europe. Almost all Tedders in Wilkes County NC are descendants of Harmon.

I am a descendant of Harmon thru Zechariah, James, William Riley, Alfred Franklin, to my father Robert Tedder. But all my DNA could be compared to was John Tudor, son of John Tedder who passed in 1721, Henry Tudor of Surry County in Va, and to one Tedder. I match this Tedder in all 37 markers; his genealogy goes back to a Benjamin Tedder born in Wake County in 1797 but we do not know his father although I believe it was Solomon Tedder whose 1800 census indicated a son less than 10. Solomon's 1820 Clarke County Ga census also indicates one son 16 to 26. Older information indicates that Solomon and Harmon were brothers.

We can narrow down our search with the DNA 37 markers from a Harmon descendant. I will help with the cost of the DNA test. Please help in this vital process.

Robert Tedder
