Check out message 417 on Mecklenburg Co NC. If you also run a search on Mecklenburg board for Hodge the four messages may be of interest to you. The McGuire of Rowan Co NC in the era of the 1770s married with the McKee and Smith and may also be of interest if you have not worked that avenue. Thomas McKee (whose McKee were allied with the Hodge) was among a number of other sons of the pioneers of Salisbury District who left the Mecklenburg area and was in your area of interest and the State of Franklin in the right time frame. They were involved with Hodge and perhaps also McGuire although that connection has not been made in what was then remote western North Carolina. These are all just possibilities that come up for me in my search but you may find something there. (My husband is also a retired MSG - US Army). Good luck with your Sons of the Revolution work.
