Searching for information on EMMA LUCINDA WILSON, married LEVI JEREMIAH STIREWALT. Emma was born 05 Apr 1869 possibly in Watauga Co. Trying to locate who her parents were. In the 1870 census she was living in the household of her grandparents H.W. RUMFELT and wife VIOLETTA RUMFELT, also living in the household was their daughter VIOLETTA A RUMFELT. H.W. RUMFELT had another daughter, EMILY L RUMFELT in the household in the 1860 census. My thinking is that maybe EMILY L RUMFELT married someone named WILSON and they had EMMA, then maybe she died in childbirth and the grandparents were raising EMMA. In the 1880 census, PRUDENCE RUMFELT (first name is VIOLET OR VIOLETTA) had a grandson age 11 living with her named AMEY (spelling?) Wilson. Could that be EMMA WILSON and the census taker put down grandson instead of granddaughter? In another 1880 census there was an EMMA L. WILSON living in the household of ROBERT L WHITE, listed as a cousin age 12 If anyone has any informaion on any of the above please let me know, thank you so much.
