Mrs. Avery W. Greene

Mrs. Maude N. Greene, 78, of Route 2, Boone, widow of Avery W. Greene, died Friday at Watauga County Hospital.

The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Meat Camp Baptist Church. The Rev. Roby Eggers and the Rev. John Goodman conducted the rites and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Greene was born in Watauga County to Jonathan and Melinda Lewis Norris. She was a member of Meat Camp Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters Mrs. Edith Clawson of Route 1, Boone, and Mrs. Velma Drieser of Reisterstown, Md., a son, Burl Greene.
