I am searching for my g-grandparents from Plymouth, Washington Co. NC. I was told his name was Zach Odom married to Desa Lee(Spl.?)They had one son Henry Redford Odom (brn 1924 or 1926) and Zach was killed when Henry was in grade school. They lived back in the woods possibly as swamp area. I was told that a lady by the name of Gertrude Mathews kept an eye out for Desalee and contacted her son Henry when she was very sick.Gertrude had at least 2 boys so it is believed. I also was told that Desalee walked everywhere she went and hitched hiked a ride from someone in a truck and when taking a curve the door flew open and she fell out and broke a few bones etc. I am in desperate need of help to find any info about them. You may even know someone that went to school with Henry Odom which would be wonderful. I was also told that Desalee was possible a blood line of Indian and was buried in the area she died about 1950 or later but not much later. Please email any information found. Thanks Rebecca
