Although these names do not ring a bell, I feel sure there is a connection to my Rays who lived in the same area.

James A Ray (b. abt. 1823) and wife Sarah had these children: Wesley, Wiley, Allan, William, Sarah, James and Sardie. This family shows up in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census in Wake Co. very near the Granville line.

Their son Allan Ray married Hawkins Pearce in Dec. 1885 in Wake County, NC.

Their dau. Elizabeth Ray married Eugene Narron Allen in 1904 also in Wake County.

Son Atlas Allen married Ethel Davis...my grand parents.
