Hi, Michael,

I am working on trying to prove that Ancil/Ansel CHAPPELL and Dorcas COLEMAN are the parents of Eli CHAPPELL b. ca. 1810 in probably Wake Co., NC. I am also trying to prove that Annis, Eli's wife, was a HARDWICK and possibly the child of Jonathan P. HARDWICK whose family was the only one in Hickman Co., TN at the time Annis and Eli married. Jonathan married Frances Horsley DILLARD. I'm betting that that is how my g-grandfather came to be named Dillard Hardwick CHAPPELL. Have you had any luck in finding out Ansel's parents or all his children's names? Where and when did they go to GA? That's news to me! You may e-mail me at if you want.
