Looking for information on a Chambless that was in Wake Co NC in the mid to late 1700's. I had found one by the name of Isham Chambless, but have lost where I had found him. My ggg-grandfather, no birth date, but probably was born in the 1740 up. Reuben(Rheuban)Chambless may have been born in Wake county NC, about 1775. Reuben had a son, Isham, born in 1797 in NC, no known county. He had another son, Hardy born in 1803, Greenville, SC and a dau, Lavica, born in Tenn in 1812. Reuben sold land in Greenville SC in 1812. He was married to Priscilla Norman born in 1775, SC and went to Tenn. Would appreciate any information that anyone would like to share on this family.
