Looking for the slave woman as well as the children he had by her in Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. I know of a couple of children, a son, Trim Manly, father of Alexander L. Manly, who is said to have started the race riot in Wilmington 1898. His editorial was misquoted and white men burned his newspaper office before going off to do more damage.
Another son was Clarence Manly. I don't know much abt him at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on this line.
