James Thomas Clarke, 1826-1885, Wake co, NC

According to Civil War records, my Gr Grandfather, James Thomas Clarke was born in 1826 in Wake Co, NC. He migrated to Franklin CO, AL then Lowndes Co, MS in the 1840s. He was in the CSA and captured at Vicksburg, MS July 4, 1863 then returned to farm in Lowndes co/later Clay Co, MS.

SO far, he is th only one of my ancestors that I do not know his parents, my GrGr grandparents, and I continually run into a brick wall in research. Could someone help with the Clarke family in Wake Co, NC in 1820s. Thanks so much.
