Peggy, I do Hatley research and have just recently made a connection between Elizabeth Nichols and Hasten Hatley who married in Wake Co. in 1802. She was daughter of William Nichols whose wife was Anna Brown. This information came from Revolutionary War pension applications. I can't find what happened to Hasten Hatley but I believe they did have at least four children, and probably came first to Alabama and then into Lincoln Co., TN and then into Bedford Co., where their son Mark was living in 1830, with an older woman who was likely his mother. Elizabeth remarried to a HOLT in Mo. in 1834. Joan Hatley, johat@usit.net
