Daughter's Lillian and Linda worker for Efird's Department Store on Laffeyetville St. Daughter Beulah worked for Bell Telephone Co. G. E. Batts Co. meat market opened at 108 Wilmington St. in 1930. Partners were J. Clinton Moore and George L. White. They had four sons: George, Jr., Edwin, Britton and Henry Calvin. One son owned the El Rancho Motel on Rt 1 in the 1940-50's. My mother was their daughter Maggie who married Fernand Van Camp in Raleigh in 1922. Any information will be appreciated.
