Three Creek Baptist Church, Swift, Middle & Black
Posted by: Don Lindley Date: September 23, 2001 at 00:14:30
  of 1372

In 1756, the Three Creek Baptist Church was founded in Johnston County; the three creeks were Swift, Middle & Black. Linda Collins in studying the history of Wake and Johnston Counties, found the existence of this church near the homestead of Joshua Stevens/Stephens.

Since Sandy Run Baptist Church was the first Baptist church in North Carolina in 1740 and the Kehukee Association of Baptist Church was formed, soon after. The Kehukee Assocation does not mention this church, Three Creek Baptist Church in their membership list.

Information on this church is desired, does anyone have any mention of this church in their research? Any information on Three Creek Baptist Church would be appreciated
