Charles is my 3 G Grandfather. I have not yet discovered who his father was. Do you have that information? Charles was in the War of 1812 as a Pvt in Capt. John Cowans Company of Tenn. Militia that was a mounted group who went to the battle of New Orleans under Maj. William Russell. He and his wife Mahala Poteet McGee are buried in the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
Trimble, Clinton Co., MO. The middle initial could be a "D."
