Nordel Hill was the summer home of Dr Elizabeth 'DELia' Dixon-Carroll and her husband NORwood Carroll. It was a log cabin located on approx 6 acres of land on Carroll Dr. I remember passing by it frequently while growing up in the area. The property is now part of Oxford Park Subdivision and the house has been gone for many years. There still remains a small section of the stone wall which bordered the property along the street. Dr Delia Carroll was affiliated with Meredith College as both physician and physiology instructor. She died in 1934 from injuries received in an auto accident.
