Also found this document and a house on Ragan Road near Apex/New Hill:

See page Section 8, page 3, Historical Background. It mentions a "Narcissa Temperance (Tempie) Lawrence (1828-1917) daughter of William (Bill) Ragan (1797-1848) and Sarah (Sallie) Womble Ragan (1797-?). I thought maybe she was a sister of Temperance Ragan Honeycutt so I did a search.

I found a family tree with William Ragan

and it does list a Temperance as a daughter but does not list her birth date or spouse.

Don't know if it is the same family but thought I would pass this along.
