I am looking for marriages for William Maynard (spelled different ways - Mainord, Maynor, Maner, Mainer) during the 1800s. My great great grandmother was Matilda MANER (b. 1816/1823)and is recorded on the Monroe County, TN 1850 Census with my greatgrandfather Jackson (B. 1844) and Susan (B. 1846). No father is listed...but, they are living with a William Gray/Frances Land family that was originally from Wilkes Co, NC. I have Jacksons family Bible from the 1870 in which Jacksons name is recorded only as William B. Maynard. This is the only record that we have his name being William....We are assumming that his father's name was probably William also. Desperately looking for a marriage for William Maynard to a Matilda (possibly GRAY) in the early 1840s probably. Anything you can help me with would be greatly appreciated...My email is Whitney6614@aol.com. Eddie Maynard Monroe County, TN Notify Administrator about this message?
