Mocha BROOKS, dau of Thomas & Nancy C. (Bagwell)
Posted by: Jen (ID *****7453) Date: February 12, 2008 at 18:19:41

Looking for information on Robert J.S. PERRY and his second wife, Mocha or Nemocha BROOKS. Mocha BROOKS appears to be the daughter of Thomas J. BROOKS and Nancy Catherine BAGWELL, per census records. She was born 1878 in Wake Co., NC. Robert PERRY and family are in Bell Co., TX, so I'm not sure how it came to be he married Mocha. Robert's first wife, Martha A., died 1902. Their children appear to be: Elsie, Rufus, Bethel, Zenobia Ann, Cora, Hudson and Robert J. Robert J.S. PERRY married Mocha about 1903. Together they had two children I can find... Mary Frances and Woodrow W. Robert died 1924, and Mocha and Woodrow apparently returned to be near Mocha's brother, William Lafayette BROOKS, per the 1930 census for Garner, Wake Co., NC. After his death, she apparently returned to Texas, and died in Franklin Co., TX in 1965.

I just uncovered all this yesterday, so I need to get certificates and obituaries, etc. Just wondering if anyone else had this family and could fill in some blanks.

Thank you
