I think I found the same family in 1880 that you had found in 1900. Your ancestor John wasn't born then, but 3 of the other siblings names are the same. Also tried finding them in 1870 but no luck. Looks like Charles and Sarah Doster married about 1874, and that she had previously been married (hence the stepchildren in 1880).
