Farm on land where subdivision is on Cuthbertson Rd.

I live in the neighborhood named Lawson on Cuthbertson Rd in Waxhaw, NC. Does anyone know the name of the Family or Families who owned a farm on this property before it was reconstructed? There was also a church near here, does anyone know the name of it? 12 mile creek runs through back of neighborhood I think this is East Branch Area. Any information
would be greatly appreciated.
