Tuesday, 5 Oct 2004 (This is a VA newspaper) Celia Ham Heath CHILHOWIE – Celia Roseanna "Anna" Ham Heath, 92, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the Smyth County Community Hospital. She was born in Washington County, Va., to the late David Larkin Ham and Aria Elizabeth Thomas Ham. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Heath Sr., two sons, Buddy Gene Heath and John William Heath Jr., a brother, Nathan Larkin Ham, and a son-in-law, Perry Braxton Greer Sr. She was a member of the Rush Creek Church for over 60 years. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Lucille Heath Greer, Rural Retreat, Va.; one sister, Sophia Jane Ham, Marion; two daughters-in-law, Eula Mae Heath, Chilhowie and Brenda Leonard Heath, Greensboro, N.C.; 14 grandchildren: from Rural Retreat: Ruby Anna and Thomas Hudson, Perry and Eula Greer, Betty Evelyn and Gerald Williams, Sandra and Kenneth Halsey, Patricia Elaine and David Evans and Stephanie and William Patton; from Chilhowie: Buddy Gene Heath Jr., Connie Heath, Cynthia and Billy Shatley, Carla Sheets and Christine Tuggle; Kenny Heath, Marion and Karen Saad and Greg Heath, North Carolina; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was loved by many friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening, Oct. 5, 2004, at 8 p.m. from the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie, with Elder Daniel C. Blevins officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday morning, Oct. 6, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Martin Cemetery in Chilhowie. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to The Chilhowie Rescue Squad, P.O.
