Paulette,
I am interested in your posting about John Fisher. I have a few questions...1) Where did the middle name "Sevier" come from? I have never heard this...only "Thomas" and not even anything definitive to prove this. 2) Who was Mamie's father? I do a lot of Fisher genealogy and I am not showing a granddaughter of John with the name "Mamie". Is this a nickname? Please provide her parents. I descend from William Clarke Fisher (born 1861) through his son, Clarence and his son William. Ralph Fisher, the attorney who located Civil War John's grave and arranged to have him reinterred in Lake Toxaway, was my grandfather's brother. Do you know who has possession of Civil War John's flag now? Thank you for your response! Linda Fisher Maxwell-Fisher.
