Jerri, thank you very much for taking the time to do the research. There are two Silas Suttons, one of whom was born Mar. 1847 in Cocke Co., TN and died June 1930 in Swain Co. He married Mary Elizabeth Chambers, b. 6/12/1856 in Haywood and died 6/22/1938. He divorced her and married Polly Anne Ball, the daughter of Osborne S. and Emmaline Sutton Ball. The children of Silas and Mary Elizabeth were Nicodemus D. Sutton, Martha E. Sutton, Jesse F. Sutton, Emanuel "Manny" Sutton and my grandmother, Margaret Missouri Sutton who married Charles Thomas Fuller, the son of John Bingham Fuller and Marium Leathers. If you have anything on this Silas I would appreciate it. The two Silas Suttons have caused me no end to problems in my research. My direct email is crperrysr@comcast.net
