Am interested in learning more about Robert Whitehead and Ann Whitehead of Lee County, Va. Two Whiteheads that are not of the same household. Both are found in the 1796 Tax List. Robert moves on to TN. Ann seems to disappear. Believe she is the Anne Whitehead of Surry Co., NC. In the 1790 Census of Surry County, NC, Anne and Robert are found. James Whitehead and a John are found in the later years in VA, up to around 1809, but John disappears. William Whitehead of Surry Co., NC, is believed to be Anne's son. Do not believe that Robert is Anne's son. There must be some connection, but what? Any help or ideas truly appreciated.
