Robert, Elizabeth, and Providence Whitehead

Am interested in finding an early map (or any map) that would show Thom's Creek. Trying to fix a location for the three children mentioned in the subject line. Am pretty sure Thom's Creek on the Ararat River is the area in Surry Co. I should be looking. Still trying to find out what happend to bind/apprentice the three children out in 1773. Know who they went with, but not why. Searching for their parents. Since Robert is found in the 1790 Census of Surry Co. and is fairly close to Ann Whitehead, there may be some sort of connection, perhaps she was an Aunt by marriage to them. Pretty certain she is not Robert, Elizabeth, and Providence's mother. Believe that William, who joined Robert in serving with Capt. John Bailey's Co. under Col. John Montgomery (George Rogers Clark's Illinois Regiment of Virginia), is Robert's brother, but no proof as yet. Thanks for any help or guidance. Paula G. Herron
