Looking for info regarding a Moore family in the Surrey County area of NC. Mary Elizabeth Moore was born about 1844 in that area. The family lore is that her parents (or her mother only) were killed in a buggy accident returning from a party one night. Either Mary's grandfather (or father) raised her and her sister. Mary later married Tignal Archer Womack (from Kentucky) in Lee County, Virginia and she had three daughters.
Either Mary's father or grandfather were physicians. And I believe the grandfather served in the Revolutionary War.
