Was there ever a Gerol Family in Stokes county?

Has anyone run across a Gerol family in any records in Stokes co NC? There are several family trees on Ancestry that list a Mary Gerol who married a William Robinson on 12 Aug 1814 Stokes co NC. In researching the Robinsons of Stoke co NC, I have never found a marriage record for a Mary Gerol who married a William Robinson on this date or any other date. The only Mary I have found on Stokes co NC marriage records on this date was a Mary Faire/Fare to a William Robinson, with his brother, Israel as a bondsman & witness. This Mary Faire/Fare is mentioned in her mother's will, Mary Ann (Guinn) Fair/Fare, dated 1 Sept 1823 Stokes co NC. In this will, Mary is listed as a daughter, wife of William Robinson. Nor have I found a William Robinson on any Stokes co NC marriage record listed as marrying a Mary Gerol on this date or any date. Both the marriage record for Mary Faire/Fare & her mother's will can be found on the Stokes co NC website. Two of Mary Fare/Fair/Faire's (the daughter) siblings married two of William Robinson's siblings. Wm. Robinson is my great grand uncle. In transcribing some records someone mistakenly read Israel Robinson as Gerol Robinson. This made them think & list Gerol as Mary's maiden name. I would like to find some record in Stokes co NC that shows/proves that a Mary Gerol married a William Robinson on 12 Aug 1814. Any help would be welcome.
