I am related to the Carters through Sophia Anderson Carter Poindexter. Her first husband was Giles Carter, with whom she had Thomas, Willie, and John Carter.
I believe that Sophia was my great aunt three times over, with my great great great grandmother, Parthena Anderson Morris, being her sister.
