Has anyone ever came across a will or information on the children of Samuel Hill in Stokes County North Carolina. Samuel is the son of Mathew and Lucy Hill, In particular I am looking for any information on a daughter of Samuel's named Jane and any children Jane may have. Also, any will or death record of a Jane Hill daughter of Samuel for the year of 1856 in Stokes County North Carolina.
I have been looking for the parents of Thomas Hill. I found in the 1850 Census a Jane Hill is listed with Thomas, however Jane is not in the 1860 Census. I also found an internet note that a Jane Hill died in 1956. If this were the same Jane that would account for her not showing in the 1960 Census.
I also found a note wondering if Thomas Hill's son James Monroe was not James Mathew Hill. I then noticed that Samuel's father was Mathew Hill.
In addition I asked a male cousin to submit for DNA testing. The DNA testing does not seem to link to any Hill's that have been tested so far for this family line, therefore I am trying to figure out that maybe Thomas is carrying his mom's surname.
Thomas and Lousia's children seem to carry quite a few names of these Hills. Including Sally Jane, John, Samuel, Loucinda.
If true Samuel would be name of Thomas's grandfather, Loucinda may be after Lucy wife of Mathew Hill, Sally Jane, Jane after mother, John, brother of Samuel???
Are there are any Hill's that descend from Samuel Hill in Stokes County North Carolina, who have submitted for DNA testing? or have any additional information on the children of Samuel..
Those researching the Thomas Hill line check out the Hill DNA site, although so far no matches
