Starling Alexander McDaniel b.1848 & Mary Catherine Efird b.1852 moved to Texas in the 1880s.The Efird book has some info. Six children & dates mentions Mary 's fathers will. In Stanly Co, where they were born, they lived very close (within one mile) to the mouth of Long Cr. at Rocky River.
Also a copy of a plat for the Thomas Carson & William Moore survey of 17,920 ac. made in 1794 . The land owner of the mouth of Long Cr.at Rocky River is shown as William McDaniel.
Currently doing DNA testing of descendant of Starling McDaniel's brother, Davis B. McDaniel. Want to locate descendant of William McDaniel for testing.
