Linda, I am seeking information primarily on my great, great, grandfather Moses Stallings born in Cabarrus County in North Carolina in 1814. Some information I have states that he died in Cabarrus County in 1865. Other information I have obtained states that he died in Stanly County in North Carolina. In an attempt to try to sort it all out and figure out which is correct, I am attempting to locate where he is buried. There are genealogical web sites with links that have extensive listings of cemeteries in Cabarrus County, none of which give any indication that he is buried there. The following is information I have recently obtained on three of his children: Harriet Stallings Blackwelder B 1 October 1841 Stanly County North Carolina D 31 May 1916 Stanly County North Carolina, township of Furr Caleb Stallings B 20 December 1846 Stanly County North Carolina D 28 July 1918 Stanly County North Carolina, township of Furr Franklin Stallings B 11 October 1854 Stanly County North Carolina D 21 October 1915 Cabarrus County North Carolina, Mount Pleasant According to their death certificates, all three were buried in “Mission Cemetery”. Two death certificates place this cemetery at Mount Pleasant, the other one says it is at Locust. I suspect that this is where their father, Moses is buried as well. I am attempting to locate where this cemetery is in an effort to visit it in person. Notify Administrator about this message?
