I have two books of cemetery records done by David Kirk Shaver and B. W. Cruse from Stanly Co. In the back of the last one are several small cemeteries listed as Family Graveyards. In these there are two mentioned as being in the Mission Community near Oakboro and Stanfield. They didn't call them Mission Cemetery, but I wondered if this is what the death certificates are referring to. These two books were done about 1964. Give me the names you are seraching for and I will check this list for you. But I can't tell you exactly where they would be located. I live in Arkansas and have only been to Stanly Co. once, so am not at all familiar with the area.

The first one has these names: Furr, Almond, Harwood and Efird, 8 burials listed. Second one is a lot larger with about 50 burials. Names in it: Tucker, Hartsell, Hatley, Page, Burris, Almond, Stallings, Whitley, Furr, Eudy (several), Lambert, Yow, Culp.
