You know, that mistake is quite common on many census reports. I guess the person taking the census didn't ask the right questions from the person he questioned about the household. I've found several families that were really mixed up with the last names of some of the children, especially when there were three sets of children: yours, mine and ours. I even found one here in Arkansas that listed one child by his half sister's last name, then listed him by his own last name next and never listed his true given name at all.
I'm glad I could help clear up the date. I really enjoy doing this hobby. I just not many years ago found out that I had a grandmother in Stanly Co. NC named BURRIS.
