William Jarret Russell may be a descendant of Aaron Russell c1761 - 1844 of Montgomery Co. & Stanly Co., NC and his wife Lisza. Aaron had children: Dargan, Levi, Jarrett, Eli, Asa, George Washington, and Noah J. Russell. Levi and his family removed to Roane Co., TN c1850. Jarrett, Noah, and Eli stayed on in Stanly Co., NC.
