Deanna,

After reviewing Montgomery Co. NC Land Warrants and Surveys 1778-1833 published 2006 by Bruce Pruitt, I found(West of the Yadkin River) in today's Stanly Co.
-James McDaniel 1779 & 1780 a chain carrier on Island Creek.
-1787 "Adjoining Samuel McDaniel's" on Mountain Cr.
-1795 Warrant for 100 Ac. to Daniel McDaniel at the mouth of Big Bear Cr. on W. side of Long Cr.
Note: The mouth of Bear Creek is about one mile from the mouth of Long Creek where William McDaniel was in 1794.
-1801 "Adjoining Benjamem McDaniel on waters of Long Cr." property on Curtail Cr. to County Line.
-1809 "Adjoining" Jonathan McDaniel on Long Cr.

There are also listed (East of the Yadkin River)
from today's Montgomery Co.
-1817 Randle McDaniel
-1814 John McDaniel Rocky Cr. of Little River.

John H. Burleson
