Scotty, I am working to plat land in the area of Cabarrus and Stanly where the Osborne family lived. Old Christopher moved from Wake to Mecklenburg, now Cabarrus where he died. He had (or was it a son had) a son Christopher H. Osborne. Christopher H. was married at least twice with the Furr family being involved. There is a deed issued out of early Cabarrus County for land in then Montgomery, now Stanly County. In the deed for land on Rock Hole Creek, the property in note adjoined that of "Christopher Osborne." And this land was next to or near Furr lands. Anyhow, I think this deed is the loose thread that will breath new life into a long mystery. Christopher Osborne remarried in the early part of 1800. I know there was problems with this marriage as found in Furr wills. I honestly believe that there were previously unknown children born to Christopher H. Osborne and his first wife. After her death or after his remarriage, I suspect the children (or child) may have lived on or near Christopher H. Osborne's land on Rock Hole Creek. And that they stayed in close contact with the Furr family. In support of the above, and later on, Moses, Joshua, and Caleb all acquired Secretary os State land grants in the very same area of Rock Hole Creek where Christopher H. Osborne once lived. Descendants of Moses, Joshua, and Caleb need to be DNA tested to see if they tie to known Christopher Osborne lineage. Notify Administrator about this message?
