I would have answered her question; but did not get a notification email that she had posted one. I'm glad that you answered because I did receive notification for your post and am able to follow this line of query; and Peggy was able to get the info that she needed. So, thank you.

I am curious about how you knew this was a quote from Finchum's book on the Barbees. This info came to me as an email from a Barbee researcher and he did not identify the material as coming from a book... I assumed it was his own research & conclusions. Can you tell me more about this book, so that I may seek a copy to research further on this Barbee family?
