Lambs in Richmond/Scotland Co.

One of the Lamb genealogists found a reference to a William and Morrum Lamb's being purchasers at an estate sale for Nicholas Smith in the late 1820's. We have found no other Lamb reference in Richmond County. Could they have been in the part that became Scotland County? We have a theory that Morrum may be a spelling interpretation of his North Carolina pronunciation of Mariam.

This genealogist did find her Cornlius Gibson's ancestors there. Cornelius married Permelia Lamb in 1815 in Georgia.
