States: North Carolina: Rutherford
I have an Egerton connection in the Eliza Champion Egerton(b. 28 Feb 1771), daughter of James and Martha (Judkins) Egerton of the Warren Co., NC, area. Eliza married Burwell Harton. They went to Hazel Green, Madison Co., AL, about 1817. Burwell's brother Howell, wife's name unknown, went to Rutherford Co., NC, about 1811. Howell was injured in the Revolution and drew a Revolutionary pension. His pension application said that he had nine children. I have names of six: Cinthia, Delilah, Nancey, Rebecca, Martha(Patsey), Harbert. Martha married John (Jack) Logan in Rutherford Co.in 1811. Harbert was mentioned in his grandmother's will (Mary Harton, Warren Co., NC, 1795). Harbert stayed in Rutherford County, where his father deeded land to him in 1819. Pension records show that Howell died in Hamilton Co., TN, in 1832. Since you list Myrick, Logan and Nicholson in your research, I wonder whether we have other links. We have a Nicholson link in that the daughter of Gideon Pegram and Charity Harton, Martha (Patsey)Pegram married Benjamin Nicholson, son of Urbane.
