Can you narrow this range to a specific town in Rutherford County, NC, for the time of 1900-1910? I know there was a Forest City Elementary School, no longer in existence. Many high schools from the 1950's are now integrated and consolidated so you need to narrow the search. The old Cool Springs High School of Forest City is now East Rutherford High School. There is a Chase High School which took in 3-4 smaller high schools in southern part of County. Central High of Rutherfordton has changed locations, not sure of new name, possibly the same. Once I wrote for a transcript from Cool Springs to go to NC State and it said I graduated from Chase High which is wrong.

Many churches have Sunday School and Baptismal records on their rolls if you write to the church they attended.

If all else fails, send your query to The Genealogical Society of Old Tryon County, PO Box 938, Forest City, NC, 28043

[Sorry I do not recognize your surnames of Abrams, or Gray.]
