Hi, I don't know your name. Thanks for responding, even though I know everything you wrote, it is fun to talk about it. I think what you have was written by Mr. Willard Gershbacher. He was good. I visited him. He unravelled my Ellis ancestry for me as no one else could. I am descended from Isaac Spencer Ellis & Martha Shipley. I have all the known info, BUT... Who was Miss Spencer? Was her name MARY? I think so because Benjamin named his first daughter, Mary. Why can't we find Willis Pressley? Was his name that or Preston or Presnell or even as first people had it Pressmil/ler? I went to the area where Benjamin died, no help. He sold his land l802, does that mean he really died then? Why did he sell land just before he died? I got Benjamin Ellis, William Ellis, John Clarn Ellis recorded in Daughters of American Colonists & (I am in FL) as soon as I go back to MO. will record John Ellis, the immigrant. But I want to know about Miss Spencer & her ancestry & Rachel's father. Who can help? I know about your Ellis family, too. Hope to hear from you again. Leona
